Climbing Tips for Beginners│ Turkey Day Group Ride
You should ride rollers for a bit. You’re all over the line. That’s a really patient group. Most regular groups would have been all over you for not holding a good line and overlapping wheels. Honestly, the best thing you can do to avoid injuring yourself and others, is to get a set of rollers and learn to hold a stable line. When you go into oxygen debt, it gets worse.
Very nice
I was thinking about trying a crit race at some point (more likely next year) but the more cat 5 races I watch... it looks scary as hell out there lol
Ya this is exactly my problem, I tend to loose focus and the group speed kicks up near the end and my position is weak. Need to be fresher so I am in the right frame of mind not just surviving. This was great info thanks
Great talk. The best advice I can give about fat loss is "It's gonna suck. Embrace the suck."
Thumbs up
Main thing to remember that at the top, where the ski buildings are, it's cold up until summer. You will need a windbreaker going down which you can take off around windy point or so where it's about 10-20 degrees warmer. I made that mistake when I rode up and ended up having to ask for a large plastic garbage bag at the ski eatery to fabricate a make-shift windbreaker for the ride down. You don't really notice the cold pedaling up as you are working hard and generating a lot of heat.
Specialized bike shop. so his favorite tire is Specialized. Big surprise.
Its been probably 12-13 years since ive ridin in a group ride.Im going to take some time for the snow and ice to melt here on the East Coast then I'm going to start up again
Virkelig meget snak.
Great vid and sounds on the video, can you list the tunes please? Thanks
If there's a bike lane get in and stay in it. Unlike what your group was doing, SHARE the road. You were blocking traffic. Your group is the reason many drivers hate bicyclists.
Fun to watch other riders from front and back close. That’s a large group ride !
Is there a video where you speak more about your body burning through calories?
Lol! I love it. You are the only person on UA-cam that has told it like it is. It's gonna suck!
Ricky-Bobby?! You’re a rock star! I clicked on this video, and there you were. You’re all “growed up”. You’re so money and you don’t even know it!
I’m going to watch this eating pizza and wings but it is ok the pizza has vegetables on it
What was that last song? See you in Scottsdale this winter also 🤙
Great Video!
How do you compare these graphenes to the new corsa pro or controls? Similarly, how do you compare with the latest crop of specialized clinches?
Great to see the channel back. I’m getting back into riding by doing something I don’t recommend. I’m building my dream bike and motivation is getting in shape to ride it next spring
I was in that ride. It was a charity "ride for a cure" (American Diabetes Assn.). Every year an attorney for DLA Piper paid an appearance fee and paid for food and refreshments and sponsored this "pre-ride" with the idea that the riders who had the benefit of riding with Jens, or Bob Roll or whoever it was that year would be encouraged to collect donations for the actual charity ride. . Please understand, it was six years ago, but to the extent you benefitted from this video and or enjoyed it, please feel free to pay it forward to the ADA with a donation.
My job is as demanding as riding a bicycle, yet, I still intermittent fast.
That's the part I am still struggling with. I gained muscles and lost body fat but my overall weight did not really go down after a year of cycling. I look better but sitting at 104kg is a burden when it comes to uphill cycling. This video and the "you will feel hungry" info is probably what I needed to hear.
I just got one of these. The frame i got was actually manufactured by specialized in 2022 from a crash replacement which is wild. This will be my first road bike coming from gravel and mtb. Rim brakes and all can’t wait to climb on this rocket. Same paint job too!
What group/club is this?
Bring back the vids!!!
Looks like you’re overlapping the wheel in front of you quite often. Not safe.
I lived on mc donalds for 3 months and lost 15 kg. I didn't eat really much so I lost my fat but also a lot of muscle mass.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Love the videos, I am local. Id be down for some training. Keep the videos coming and the good music
He’s back! Let’s go! Love it
Probably the best fat loss advice I've heard so far on UA-cam.
I would go with Kogel over ceramic speed
This bike was really easy to assemble ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA and required very few adjustments out of the box. The wheels did not require any truing/adjustments. The frame had some small scratches, but nothing major.I did replace the seat though - the seat it came with was very uncomfortable. The tires need to be re-inflated every 4-5 days, but this appears to be quite common for the narrow 700x25 tires.Overall, in my opinion, this bike looks and rides like a much more expensive bike.
Subscribed!
I was dropped last night lol.. why am I watching this video when I get dropped in real life?
Nice review from a NON payed rider.
i Need a update on your tire pressure for your weight an size? plus talk about this bike and the new SL8?
Second ride on the SL8 tomorrow morning. You know me I like to fully understand the product before I talk about it.
Can we see more of your bike?
If you will, list your tunes selections. Would be appreciated.
😱 'promo sm'
Keep the content coming definitely.
How did a small little bump throw that guy's chain at 0:48 ? Weird.
260 FTP but you're still clocking 1065 on your sprint!
My girl is almost two and I’m going through the same thing. I get up early and train so I don’t have to miss too much time with her. See you out there on Thursday :)
Great video! Please do more
Thank you, more vids in the works!
My favorite part about this video is when you speak of things you shouldn’t do, those things are happening! Like don’t bring a TT bike, or don’t ride in the drops! Either way good info!
The reason I felt the need to make the video are the things happening on screen and around me on that ride that are dumb. 👍🏻
For me, I try to meet people and say hi to my friends at the beginning of the ride. Near the middle of the ride, I am usually all by myself. A constant pace at 225w is all I can do. If there are some bumps up to 325-350, I am going to need some recovery time.
Great call out! Same, I like to say hello when the group is rolling out and build the plan quick on where we are meeting for coffee. That way after I am dropped I know where to meet everyone!
Good to see you posting again, always a top channel for me.
Much appreciated!
